Thirukallyanam was designed as a wedding that felt divine, deeply personal and rooted in two rich traditions. For an NRI couple with the groom's roots in Hampi and the bride's in Kerala, the celebration brought both cultures together in one sacred and beautifully immersive setting. As a wedding planner for destination wedding celebrations, creating a setting that connected both families to their roots became the heart of the design.

Inspired by the ancient temple heritage of Hampi, the décor featured Karingallu black stone, carved elements, brass accents and a refined palette of stone grey, antique gold, ivory, blush pink and deep maroon. At the centre stood a magnificent 24-foot mandapam, surrounded by water and framed by the natural beauty of the open landscape.

The celebration became even more meaningful through thoughtful details that encouraged guest participation. During the thalikett, bells placed behind every chair allowed guests to ring them together, creating a beautiful chorus of sound alongside the chanting and breeze. Kerala-inspired Kasavu-patterned bamboo fans added both comfort and cultural detail to the outdoor setting.

More than a beautifully designed wedding, Thirukallyanam became a meeting point for two cultures and two families. Ancient Hampi-inspired architecture, Kerala traditions, natural elements and sacred rituals came together to create a celebration filled with warmth, wonder and a profound sense of unity.
